Ugandan Lawyer Eron Kiiza has numerous times represented the #StopEACOP Campaign activists, including students unlawfully arrested for peacefully protesting the controversial East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project. His focus on justice as a principled defender of human rights is something that has gained him prominence in the social justice, land, environment, and human rights circles, and it is the reason the #StopEACOP movement is calling for his release and spotlighting the manner in which the military personnel arrested him.
